story of the month
Every
month or so I’d like to post a new marine natural history story.
I can supply quite a few myself, but I’m also inviting stories
from visitors. If I like them, I’ll put them up and hold my own
back till there’s need.
If
you’re afraid your writing isn’t polished enough for public
exposure, I can edit the copy. If you’ve got interesting photos,
you could simply send scans along with field notes -- your best guess
at what you’ve got plus information about where and under what
circumstances you got the photo(s).
Your
stories shouldn’t be longer than 2,000 words, generally speaking,
and 1,000-1,500 words is probably better. The field notes can be as
short as you like.
Please
tell me whether I can archive your contribution, or whether you want
it taken down after a month.
My first
story is "Crustacean
Delirium Tremens".
