  1. Until today I did not know who he was. But reading about his death and life on the web he definitely seems to have been a man with rare depth, character and authenticity. I wish I had learned about him sooner.

  2. Collin was a great writer, wonderful man and a friend. I always looked forward to running into him when I came to Bangkok.
And of course he’s one of the several Expat writers who influenced me.

You are missed already, Collin. R.I.P.

  3. Such a wonderful gift to be blessed with the ability to paint a picture with words! While I wish I had the opportunity to spend more time with Collin, I know he is at peace.

  4. Just learned of the passing of this old friend from 1970s Montreal and Ottawa. Loved him and his family – especially his parents. When the 3 brothers were together it was maximum mayhem.
Collin was larger than life when I knew him, and it seems he persisted in that mode right to his last days.
My condolences to his family and diaspora of friends.
